 Leading Lines: lines in an image that lead the eye to the center focus of the image

Symmetry (or Balance): Symmetry is when both sides of the image hold equal weight (often matching parts that are mirroring each other)

Photographers use leading lines to guide the viewers eye to draw attention to the main subject of the photo. Additionally, photographers use symmetry to create a sense of balance and harmony. These are both very effective tools to use in all kinds of art in order to portray a story for the viewer.
